Manual or motorised?
Manual (spring-balanced) shutters cost less and suit smaller openings with staff on site to open them daily. Motorised shutters suit larger, heavier openings and frequent use, and add convenience with wall switches, key switches or remotes. Many manual shutters can also be converted to motorised later.
Installation process
- Free site measurement: we check the opening, headroom, side room and power supply.
- Quotation: shutter type, material, operation and finish, with clear pricing.
- Fabrication: made to measure for your opening.
- Installation & testing: fitted, adjusted and tested, with a handover on operation and the manual override.
Repair first if it makes sense
Before recommending a new shutter, we'll check whether your existing one can be economically repaired. A new motor, springs or slats often extend a shutter's life by years for a fraction of the cost.
