Frequently asked questions

How much does roller shutter repair cost in Singapore?

Simple repairs such as freeing a jammed shutter start from $180. Motor replacement starts from $600. The final price depends on the fault, shutter size, parts needed and site access. The site visit is free and you get a firm quote before any work starts.

Do you repair roller shutters 24 hours?

Yes. We take calls and WhatsApp messages 24/7, including nights, weekends and public holidays, for shutters that are stuck open, stuck shut or blocking access.

Why is my roller shutter stuck halfway?

Common causes are a misaligned curtain or slat caught in the guide rail, debris in the track, a worn spring, a seized bearing, an incorrect motor limit setting, or a failing motor.

My shutter motor hums but the shutter does not move. What's wrong?

A humming motor usually means a jammed curtain, a failed motor capacitor or brake, or a worn motor. Stop pressing the button to avoid burning the motor and WhatsApp us a short video.

How do I open a motorised shutter during a power failure?

Most motorised shutters have a manual override, usually a chain hoist or a crank handle near the motor. Operate it gently. If it's very stiff or you can't find it, WhatsApp us a photo of the motor area and we'll guide you.

Is the site visit really free?

Yes. The site visit and quotation are free. You only pay if you agree to the quoted repair.

Should I repair or replace my roller shutter?

Repair is usually worth it when the curtain and guides are in good condition. If the repair would cost more than about half the price of a new shutter, or the same fault keeps returning, replacement is often better value. We'll advise honestly after inspection.

How often should a roller shutter be serviced?

Every 3 to 6 months for shutters used many times a day such as shops, warehouses and loading bays, and every 6 to 12 months for light use.

Do you repair fire shutters?

Yes, we handle fire shutter faults and servicing. WhatsApp us the shutter details and building type so we can advise on the right next step.

Which areas in Singapore do you cover?

We cover all of Singapore, including industrial estates such as Tuas, Jurong, Woodlands, Sungei Kadut, Kaki Bukit, Ubi, Loyang and Changi, as well as HDB town centres, malls and landed estates.

What information should I send for a quote?

A photo or short video of the shutter, the approximate width and height, whether it's manual or motorised, what's wrong, and your location.

Do you give a quote before starting work?

Always. You'll get a firm quote after the free site visit, and no work starts until you agree.

Can you fix my shutter on the first visit?

Many faults such as jams, realignment, locks, springs and control issues are fixed on the first visit. If a specific part or motor must be ordered, we make the shutter safe and secure first.

Do you repair shutters for HDB shops and condos?

Yes. We work with shop owners, tenants, landlords, MCSTs and managing agents.

Who pays for shutter repair: tenant or landlord?

It depends on your lease. Many commercial leases make the tenant responsible for the shutter's day-to-day repair and maintenance, but check your agreement. We can issue the quote to whoever is responsible.

Can you provide a quotation for insurance claims?

Yes. We can provide an itemised quotation and photos for impact or break-in damage claims.

Do you offer maintenance contracts?

Yes. Quarterly or half-yearly servicing with per-shutter pricing and service records. See servicing & maintenance.

Can you motorise my manual shutter?

Often, yes, depending on its size, weight and condition. WhatsApp us photos and dimensions.

How do I pay?

Payment details are confirmed with your quotation. Common options such as PayNow and bank transfer are typically accepted.

What brands of shutter motors do you work with?

We work with the common tubular, side-mounted and chain hoist motors used on roller shutters in Singapore. Send us a photo of the motor label if you have one.
